Kmart is teaming up with teachers and parents in an effort to teach kids about money and finances. The retail giant along with TIME Magazine, Inc. has created a program called the ”Kmart Money Smart Cirriculum” and it was designed to promote financial literacy in America’s youth. The program was launched just in time for “back to school” preparations and provides educational tools to help students learn about the responsibilities of money and spending. Downloadable cirricula is available for parents and teachers online, and there is even a signup link for teachers to receive special savings on supplies for the classroom. For more information, visit the Money Smart program or TIME for Kids.

Sounds wonderful, we need to raise our children with financial understanding and appreciation!
