I’m sure we all can remember growing up and seeing issues of Reader’s Digest at school, in the doctor’s office, and even in our grandmother’s bathrooms. So how sad is it to think that one of the oldest, most popular, family-friendly magazines in America is being forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection? Reader’s Digest has been around since 1922 and it has been an icon in the publishing industry for decades. Fortunately, this restructure will help the magazine to survive and manage its debt, but the future is still not completely bright.
