Car seat recall: Mia Moda Viva and Viva Supreme

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Starting in November, the infant car seat manufacturer Lerado is expected to recall two brands of car seats.  The Mia Moda Viva and Viva Supreme car seats are being recalled due to a problem with the harness splitter plate which has a sharp edge that could potentially cut the harness.  There are also problems with the base possibly cracking in a crash.  The model numbers of the recalled car seats for both Mia Moda Viva and Viva Supreme are:

Model Nos. 5000 (seat), 5001 (base), 5050 (seat), 5051 (base), 5070 (seat), 5071 (base), 5080 (seat), and 5081 (base).

If you are using either of these car seats, stop immediately and contact Lerado directly for a full refund.  Lerado’s toll free number is 1-877-546-8437.  You can also get more information from the Mia Moda website.
