The Berenstain Bears are coming to a theater near you
Wednesday, November 11th, 2009My son watches the Berenstain Bears every morning on PBS Sprout. I really like how each episode teaches valuable life lessons that children can really understand. My mom says that many of the lessons seem to have a Biblical theme, and that she even remembers reading Berenstain Bears books to me when I was a kid.
An article in USA Today has just announced that Walden Media has acquired the rights to produce a full-length feature film based on the Berenstain Bears books, “a comedy that will be a mix of live-action and computer animation.” The Berenstain Bears were first introduced to the world in 1962 in a classic titled, “The Big Honey Hunt,” written by Jan and the late Stan Berenstain. Look for the film to hit theaters sometime in 2011.
