At this year’s 17th Statewide Annual Autism Conference in Florida, RethinkAutism.com plans to highlight a web-based autism treatment platform that is designed to help parents learn how to better interact with their autistic children. A press release states:
“The Rethink Autism platform offers a student-centered curriculum through 1,200+ video-based lesson steps that are consistent with applied behavior analysis (ABA). Endorsed by the US Surgeon General and the American Academy of Pediatrics, ABA is the only treatment for autism that has been consistently validated by independent scientific research.”
Florida’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) will host the conference that takes place January 29 – 31. In Florida alone, more than 10,000 students under the age of 17 have been diagnosed with autism. RethinkAutism.com also offers online assessment tools for teachers and professionals working with children to help establish goals, create curriculums, and track individual progress.
