With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I thought it would be sweet and lovely to have a giveaway… yay! It will work like this: Leave me a comment below telling me what special plans you have with your family for Valentine’s Day. It can be anything from making heart-shaped pancakes in the morning, to buying the biggest box of chocolates you can find. The winner will then be chosen randomly on February 8, 2010 to receive a $25 gift card to use toward any purchase at a Build-A-Bear Workshop. And while you’re there, you may want to check out the newest addition to the Build-A-Bear family. He’s called the Be Mine Dalmatian (pic above) and he would make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for you or your sweetie. And… don’t forget to visit BuildABearVille.com to bring your character to life online for free, as well as earn points for cool virtual outfits and accessories. You can also use a coupon to get free sound with your Build-A-Bear creation, just click on the image below… Enjoy!

We are most likely exchanging candy (everyone in the family, not just couples) and going out to dinner.
Thank you for the giveaway!

Valentine’s Day for our family is always special because my birthday is on the 13th and my daughter is on the 16th, which also happens to fall on Mardi Gras this year. (We live in New Orleans!) So in between King Cake and birthday cake, we all get our very favorite candy. We don’t try to turn Valentine’s Day into a major gift giving holiday, but we do try to have dinner as a family and share the love!
We’ll go out to dinner as a family with our 3 kids and give each other candy.
We always make handmade cards for each other, and play this game we made up as a family. We also all help make festive goodies too! Yay!
Hubby and I will be going out to dinner, but I will also be doing something special with the kids, like baking heart shaped cakes and cookies!
We will exchange cards, and probably some candy. My husband usually gets the kids a stuffed animal too.

My husband and I will be going to see Avatar and then to dinner. My husband and I will also be treating our daughter to a cookie baking day during the day.

We are on a tight budget this year but that does not mean it can not be fun. I have a 3 year old daughter who thinks her Papi aka “Super Papi” is a real life hero (and frankly, so do I!)…we are going to fill up the bathroom shower with red, white, and pink balloons and place a note drawn by my daugher (with Mami’s help) that say’s … “We are showering you with Love”.
I think I’m making DH take me out to dinner, how romantic right?!?
Hello Desiree,
I just came across your chanel on YouTube and I can’t wait to see your future uploads but to awnser your question:
This is my plan : I would have to be sneaky since it lands on a Sunday this year lol, but my plan is to go buy Valentine Baloons for my family buy some chocolates and cute little teddy bears to tie at the end <3 I would have to do this the day before and stash everything in my hideaway cubby….because while they are all still asleep I am going to place the balloons in the kids rooms they are 9, 10 and 4 and I would place a single flower with a card next to my husband with a balloon attached to it ( I know guys are suppose to buy the flowers but I want to have alittle fun too lol) Then while I am waiting for them to wake up start breakfast<3 Just seeing everyone happy and together on V-Day is enough for me <3 <3 That is my plan <3
We’re going to do a small candy hunt for our soon-to-be 3 year old, have some sort of special dinner and probably bake some cookies with pink/red sprinkles as he loves to bake! It’s our baby’s first Valentines day, so I’m sure we’ll do something corny and take lots of pictures, hehe. I’m HOPING hubby and I can go on a date night, he’s acting like he’s got something up his sleeve so I hope to be pleasantly surprised!
I think we are going to have a nice dinner at home. I’ll probably make one of my hubby’s favorite foods and then we’ll rent a DVD. Pretty low key since we have a 7 week old baby.
