Product Review: Aquadoodle

My son is almost two and he has recently discovered the joy of using pens and markers.  After many episodes of ink stained hands, arms, and face, I began the search for something that he could use to draw and color with, but without the worry of pen and marker ink all over him, the table, and the walls.  I found the Aquadoodle in a clearance bin at my local WalMart.  The package said “no mess magic” and that it only uses water.  I dropped it in my cart thinking that if it didn’t work, at least I didn’t pay full price.

Well imagine my surprise when I filled up the pen with water, handed it to my son, and watched the “magic” begin.  This thing writes like a real marker with bold, thick lines that would make any toddler proud.  The little travel size mat that folds up is perfect for my son to carry from room to room without any major hassle.  He absolutely loves it!!  I love it because I no longer worry about him getting ink all over the place, and the thing literally kept him busy for hours.  After such a pleasant experience with this, I went to the website to see what other products the Aquadoodle had to offer.  Now, I’m making plans to get the Draw and Doodle Mat and the Thomas the Tank Aquadoodle.  If you have a little Picasso in your family, I highly recommend the Aquadoodle products.  It turned out better than what I expected and now I’m on the hunt to buy more.  The only negative about this thing is that the pen has a paper wrapper around it that gets all over my son’s mouth because he chews on it, but other than that, the Aquadoodle gets two thumbs up!!
