Everyone already knows that college is expensive. One way to save money is to rent textbooks instead of buying them. The website Chegg.com offers cheap textbook rentals for college students. The way it works is that students choose their books online to rent. They then pay for the books, the books are shipped to their homes, and they get a pre-addressed return label to send the book back. The other really nice thing about this site is that they offer a 30-day “any reason” return guarantee, and for each book rented, Chegg.com will plant a tree in honor of the renter. You can even sell or donate textbooks for money or credit. Each book rental is guaranteed to save the renter at least 40 percent off the listed sales price.

I keep looking for ways to save money on college textbooks as we have multiples in college and the semester bill for books is crazy. I found a great article that i just forwarded to the kids : http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/saving-money-on-college-textbooks.html
The article gives a list of options including renting, borrowing, sharing and more.. worth a read.
Hey check out http://www.textbookstop.com. I was able to save 10% more on rentals compared to anywhere else. My college student was able to return the textbooks we rented to the local copy shop which accepted textbookstop’s rental returns. Didn’t have to worry if they were going to ship it back or not.
