I’ve been reading my new Bible for about a week now, and I have to say that I really, really like it. The Busy Mom’s Bible from Zondervan is a lovely two-toned pink Bible specially designed for busy moms on the go. The New International Version translation makes it easy to read and understand, and the size is just big enough to read comfortably, but is not too big to carry around in a diaper bag or purse. I love this Bible because it just feels really good to hold. It’s also a pleasure using it in my daily quiet time. I like how it has different sections for different topics of study that are broken down into time segments. For example, if you only have a minute to go over God’s word, you can flip to the orange page titled “Raising Your Kids.” On that page, you will find a one minute, a five minute, and a ten minute study that includes a scripture verse, as well as thought provoking questions to help you further understand what you’ve read. I especially like the word of the day that is listed at the bottom of each section.
If you are a super busy mom (and I don’t know any mom who isn’t), I highly recommend the Busy Mom’s Bible. It will make your daily quiet time with the Lord a little easier and much more intimate. Its simple and practical plan will encourage you to study the Word daily, and it will help you to realize just how much God loves all of us “busy moms.”
