Starting on July 1, Starbucks coffee shops nationwide will begin offering free Wi-Fi for its patrons. No special registration or pre-existing account will be required. There is also no time limit as to how long customers can use the service. Another addition to Starbucks this fall will be a new in-store service called the Starbucks Digital Network, which will provide free, unrestricted access to a variety of paid site and services, including iTunes, USA Today, and Zagat. The new network will also provide free downloads, exclusive content, and listings for community events and news.
