I have a passion for animals and children, I love them both and I cannot stand when anyone purposely inflicts pain and unnecessary suffering on either. That’s why I am a big supporter of PETA’s “Caring Consumer Project” which is a database of information that has been gathered on the animal-testing policies of cosmetics and household-product companies, as well as signed statements of assurance from companies that meet PETA’s cruelty-free criteria. This raises consumer awareness of companies that do not test their products on animals, and encourages boycotts of companies that do until they change to a non-animal-testing policy.
One cosmetic company newly added to the list is Emani Minerals. The company not produces vegan products free of talc, gluten and parabens, but it also carries a beautiful array of makeup and beauty products that are guaranteed to not be tested on animals.
